# Five-dimensional Superfield Supergravity - High Energy Physics - Theory

Abstract: We present a projective superspace formulation for matter-coupled simplesupergravity in five dimensions. Our starting point is the superspacerealization for the minimal supergravity multiplet proposed by Howe in 1981. Weintroduce various off-shell supermultiplets i.e. hypermultiplets, tensor andvector multiplets that describe matter fields coupled to supergravity. Aprojective-invariant action principle is given, and specific dynamical systemsare constructed including supersymmetric nonlinear sigma-models. We believethat this approach can be extended to other supergravity theories with eightsupercharges in $D\leq 6$ space-time dimensions, including the important caseof 4D N=2 supergravity.
