We extend existing theory on robust nonlinear observerdesign to the class of nonlinear Lipschitz systems where the systemsare subject to sensor faults and disturbances. The designed observeris used for robust reconstruction of fault signals. Allowing boundedunknown disturbances to model system uncertainties, it is shown thatby adjusting a design parameter we can trade off between fault reconstructionand disturbance attenuation. An LMI procedure solvableusing commercially available softwares is presented. Two examples arepresented to illustrate the application of the results.
