Abstract: The thermal-to-percolative crossover exponent \phi, well-known forferromagnetic systems, is studied extensively for Edwards-Anderson spinglasses. The scaling of defect energies are determined at the bond percolationthreshold p c, using an improved algorithm. Simulations extend to system sizesabove N=10^8 in dimensions d=2,

.,7. The results can be related to thebehavior of the transition temperature T g p-p c^\phi between theparamagnetic and the glassy regime for p-> p c. In three dimensions, where oursimulations predict \phi=1.1275, this scaling form for T g provides a rareexperimental test of predictions arising from the equilibrium theory oflow-temperature spin glasses. For dimension near and above the upper criticaldimension, the results provide a new challenge to reconcile mean-field theorywith finite-dimensional properties.
