Previous studies have unraveled the adverse effectsof man-made magnetic fields on human and animal health. Due to the long-term exposure of power plant workersto strong electromagnetic fields, this research was designed and conducted tocompare the hematological parameters of the workers of Sanandaj Power PlantEPSW with a control group the workers of Mehr Bank. For this purpose, wholeblood and serum samples were taken from the EPSW n 91 andcontrol n 88 groups. The collectedserum samples were evaluated in terms of the amounts of serum glutamicoxaloacetic The results indicated that the EPSW group showedhigher amounts of SGPT, RDW Red Cell Distribution Width and Ly lymphoma,and lower MCH Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin, MCHC Mean Corpuscular HemoglobinConcentration, Ne Neutrophils group P 0.05. There were nosignificant differences between the two groups in terms of SGOT, WBC, RBC, Hb,HCT, MCV and PLT P 0.05.
