The distribution coefficient of return current network isan important method to decrease the rail potential. In order to resolve theproblem of high rail potential in high-speed railway based on EN50122-1 and PrEN50170 the distribution coefficient of longitudinal traction return current conductorsis calculated through changing the interval of transverse connection. Based onfield data and theoretical analysis, the parameters of longitudinal tractionreturn current conductors are calculated. Results indicate that the bestdistance of the transverse connection is 400 m –600 m.
