Spontaneous rupture of the iliac vein is rare clinical emergency.Sudden onset, hypertension, and abdominal distention with a nonpulsatile massin the iliac fossa are the chief symptoms. We reported another case ofspontaneous rupture of the left external iliac vein diagnosed intra-operativelyand successfully treated with direct suturing. And related literatureswere reviewed. Possible etiology and optimal treatment were discussed.
