In order to diagnose equipment operating characteristics more easily and accurately, design of a portable ultrasonic detecting system based on DSP & CPLD in light of the principle of wavelet analysis and FFT. Hardware circuit is composed by the ultrasonic wave transmission and reception circuit, signal conditioning circuits, data acquisition and processing modules and peripheral interface circuit. Software is composed by the main program module, data acquisition processing procedures and LCD display program. The system can be used to conduct real-time signal acquisition, conditioning, display and store the static characteristics of the data signal, signal waveform and spectrum.
