A normal temperature microcapsule phase change material PCM has been prepared. The most composition of the PCM is the binary system tetradecanol-lauric acid. The microcapsule is composed of formalin, urea, triethanolamine, emulsifier OP, sodium chloride, citric acid and so on. The microcapsule material has no liquid appeared when it occurs phase change, so it has been used very conveniently. The differential scanning calorimeter DSC result indicate that the phase change temperature of the microcapsule material is 25.5℃ and the phase change enthalpy is 56.7J·g-1. The phase change temperature of the microcapsule phase change material is normal temperature, and the price is very low, and the manufacturing technology is very briefness, and the production has no causticity and its phase change capability is very stably. So the microcapsule phase change material has favorable application value.
