The organic pollutants in landfill leachate are in high concentrations and the biodegradability is poor, so the treatment of the landfill leachate is a major problem in wastewater treatment. In this study, compound hydrolysis acidification reactor was used to treat the analogic landfill leachate, the removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demandCOD and volatile fatty acidVFA growth effect under different hydraulic retention timeHRT and dissolved oxygen concentrationDO were studied. The results showed that when HRT was 16h, DO was 6mg·L-1, the reactor achieved the best opreating results, the COD removal rate reached 34.92% and VFA growth rate is 114.71%, effectively improved the biodegradability of landfill leachate, created good conditions for the following aerobic biological treatment.
