The journal is open to and welcomes articles written both by recognized academics at the national and international levelsw and by students and alumni of our community The journal’s main objective is to foster dialogue among the different thematic lines of sociology, as well as between these and the other human sciences, the natural sciences, the arts and other types of knowledge, in order to understand and explain the variety of phenomena making up our times and reality.
The journal welcomes unpublished articles on theoretical issues or methodological controversies, articles showing research results, as well as critical review essays dealing with recent publications on a specific subject, or book reviews The Revista Colombiana de Sociología is published by the Department of Sociology of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá branch and is indexed in the Sistema Nacional de Indexación de Publicaciones Periódicas (Publindex), category C.
At the international level, it is found in the Fuente Académica Premier-EBSCO, Georgetown University - New Jour, clase, Dialnet, Latindex, Sociological Abstracts, Doaj and E-Revistas. The journal accepts only unpublished articles that represent an empirical or theoretical contribution to sociology, or a contribution to other disciplines, practices, or fields of knowledge from the perspective of sociology.
Submitted articles should not be concurrently assessed by other journals.
