The journal accepts only unpublished articles that represent an empirical or theoretical contribution to sociology, or a contribution to other disciplines, practices, or knowledge from the perspective of sociology.
Submitted articles should not be concurrently assessed by other journals. 2.
Articles or essays should not exceed thirty (30) letter-size pages (216 x 297 mm), 12-point font, double spaced, including charts, tables, figures, and bibliographic references.
Critical book reviews should not exceed twenty (20) pages, in the previously mentioned format.
In both cases, we suggest using a maximum of two heading levels, and in case they are numbered, Arabic numerals should be used. 3.
The journal welcomes contributions on different topics, whether in the form of articles on theoretical issues and methodological controversy, summarizing research results, or of critical review essays dealing with recent publications on a common theme, or book reviews dealing with a single book. 4.
Authors must submit three (3) hard copies and one digital copy in a pc compatible format, preferably Microsoft Word, indicating the version used and the name of the file containing the article. 5.
Each article or essay must be accompanied by an abstract (in both Spanish and English) not longer than 15 lines and three (3) or four (4) keywords describing the contents.
The title of the article must be in both Spanish and English. 6.
Non-textual elements should be organized in tables or figures numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals.
A laser-printed hard copy of these must also be submitted, indicating the exact page and position where they should be inserted in the text, or whether they should be included as annexes. 7.
Textual citations should be enclosed in quotation marks, and words in foreign languages should be italicized.
