Abstract: We use the Wa\-zewski topological principle to establish a number of newsufficient conditions for the existence of proper defined on the entire timeaxis solutions of essentially nonlinear nonautonomous systems. The systemsunder consideration are characterized by the monotonicity property with respectto a certain auxiliary guiding function $Wt,x$ depending on time and phasecoordinates. Another auxiliary function $Vt,x$, which is positively definedin the phase variables $x$ for any $t$, is used to estimate the deviation ofthe proper solutions from the origin.
