In modern bioinformatics, finding an efficient way toallocate sequence fragments with biological functionsis an important issue. This paper presents a structuralapproach based on context-free grammars extractedfrom original DNA or protein sequences. Thisapproach is radically different from all those statisticalmethods. Furthermore, this approach is comparedwith a topological entropy-based method forconsistency and difference of the complexity results.
