In the today’s competition, how firms create and sustain a competitive advantage has become an increasing field of interest for both scholars and practitioners.
Firms are told to increase and improve their intangible-based elements to remain competitive, so they must pay particular attention to issues such as knowledge management, intellectual capital, intellectual property rights, core competences, dynamic capabilities or competitive intelligence. Meanwhile, the theoretical foundations of research on competitive advantages have covered a variety of approaches.
