Abstract: We describe neutron scattering, NMR relaxation, and thermal transportproperties of Z 2 spin liquids in two dimensions. Comparison to recentexperiments on the spin S=1-2 triangular lattice antiferromagnet inkappa-ET2Cu2CN3 shows that this compound may realize a Z 2 spin liquid. Weargue that the topological `vison- excitations dominate thermal transport, andthat recent thermal conductivity experiments by M. Yamashita et al. haveobserved the vison gap.
