The introduction to the report gives an overview of the duties and services of the State Library Agency. The roles of the Alabama Public Library Service are outlined, and the mission statement is presented. Finally, the following long range goals are outlined, each with correlating objectives and tasks: (1) provide information resources; (2) provide for new construction or renovation; and (3) support resource sharing.
