Veneu6. ABSTRACT Objective: To identify the actions of nurses in the prevention of cervix cancer, focusing on the understanding of women about uterine cervical neoplasms and vaginal smear exams along with factors and motives for not taking these exams.
Method: Exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, done through bibliographic surveys in the VHL, using LILACS, BDENF and SciELO for data, in addition to the Revista Brasileira de Cancerologia.
9 bibliographies were selected, and after their reading and analysis 3 categories emerged.
