Abstract: Unified field theories try to merge the internal symmetries of the standardmodel into a single group. Here we lay out something different. We giveevidence that a theory may be unified in alternate ways; that is, instead ofaiming to unify the internal symmetries into a single group, the groups may beunified together with the quarks and leptons that they act on. Furthermore, the3+1 Lorentz transformations may likewise be unified with the scalars,spinors, four-vectors and field strength tensors that they act on. Thesesimplifications occur because the representations can be found in the form ofan algebra acting on itself. The approach described in this paper is meant totie everything into the Dixon algebra: RxCxHxO, the tensor product of the fournormed division algebras over R, whose connection to the standard model wasearlier advocated for in 1. As we show, this method very quickly uncovers allof the Lorentz representations of the standard model, and a set of statesbehaving like one full generation of quarks and leptons.
