Abstract : Smart grids are electricity networks that can intelligently integrate the behaviour and actions of all users connected to them in order to deliver sustainable, economic, and secure electricity supplies efficiently. They provide a tool for consumers to control their consumption better and, in the end, to save energy. The issue is that electricity-consuming activities are habitual and routinized ones, and modifying these habits is extremely difficult. This paper indicates how the Cognitive Work Analysis framework could be used to design an interface facilitating users- comprehension of energy consumption and subsequent adoption of new behaviours.
